Mobile Wallets: A Simple, Secure Way to Pay
Mobile Wallets let you store your debit or credit card on your smartphone so you can make safe, contactless payments in stores, online, or in apps. Popular mobile wallets include Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet.
Using a mobile wallet provides enhanced security, faster checkouts, and added convenience—without sharing your actual card number with merchants.
Why Use a Mobile Wallet?
Mobile Wallets use tokenization, meaning your real card number is replaced with a secure digital token during transactions.
This helps protect your account information and prevents merchants from ever seeing your card number.
Additional protections include:
Device‑specific security (Face ID, Touch ID, passcodes)
Encrypted transactions
Ability to suspend or remove cards if a phone is lost

How Card Verification Works
Sometimes extra identity verification is needed when adding your card. This is normal — it protects your account from fraud.
Verification may include:
Confirming recent transactions
Verifying personal info already on file
Completing a secure authentication step
If You Have Trouble Adding Your Card
In some cases, users may be redirected to contact support to complete enrollment. This can occur if:
The wallet provider requires additional authentication
Your phone number doesn’t match what’s on file
Fraud‑prevention systems need a manual review
Support teams can help verify your identity safely and complete the token activation process.

When You May Need to Call for Support
1. Extra Verification Required -Sometimes mobile wallet providers require additional identity verification before your card can be added. This helps protect your account.
2. Trouble Adding Your Card -If your device says it “cannot add your card,” support can help verify your identity and complete activation.
3. Mobile Wallet Transaction Declined - If a purchase is declined while using Apple Pay, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet, support can check whether it’s due to an inactive token or account issue.
4. Lost or Stolen Phone -Support can suspend or deactivate the wallet token so no one can use your mobile wallet. Your physical card will still work.
5. Special Situations -Some customers—business accounts, minors, or those with foreign addresses—may require different verification steps.
